Silvia Guanoluisa is the founder and CEO of Lice In Sight, Inc. She worked as a teacher educating children and young people in her city Quito-Ecuador. Silvia has also worked as a child care provider in New York City providing quality early childhood experiences. In her career as director of a group family daycare center, she saw cases of children who scratched their heads very hard, when she realized that, Silvia took them to another classroom to check their heads, she put on disposable gloves and it was there that she found that the children had lice. When the parents came to pick up the children, Silvia asked the parents to buy some treatment at the pharmacy or go to the doctor and when they were lice-free they would be able to return to the daycare, at that time she did not know anything about lice treatments, or how to prevent lice in the child care. Having worked with children, parents, and assistants, she gained significant experience running a daycare. She has always considered that everything in life has a cycle. That is when she wanted to change her activity and start a new venture to become a professional head lice treatment specialist to help children and their families in this new mission.
Silvia trained as a Lice Technician to gain the necessary knowledge of head lice removal, treatment, and prevention to help families, schools, child care centers, summer programs, and nursing homes who require this service.

Her treatment philosophy is to remove every louse and nit to be considered lice-free without using gimmicks, such as chemicals or heat treatments.
