CAN LICE JUMP OR FLY?

No, they don't, that is anatomically impossible, however, lice can crawl 9 inches per minute.

CAN LICE TRANSMIT DISEASES?

No, they can't transmit diseases. The only potential risk from head lice infestation is secondary skin or scalp infection after scratching with dirty fingernails.

CAN ONLY CHILDREN GET HEAD LICE?

No, it is more common for children to be exposed to the #1 cause of contagion: head-to-head exposure.

IS HAVING HEAD LICE A SIGN OF PERSONAL HYGIENE?

No, in fact, lice prefer hair that is as clean as possible so that the eggs can adhere, as oils/fats make it difficult for them to stick. It is much easier for a louse to move on clean hair than on a greasy surface.

DO ONLY POOR PEOPLE GET LICE?

Lice are parasites that do not discriminate between social classes or races. Anyone can get head lice regardless of their economic situation.

 

IS IT TRUE THAT PEOPLE WITH BROWN SKIN DO NOT GET HEAD LICE?

No, it is true that they are less likely to get head lice due to their hair type however they are not immune.

IS THERE A LICE SEASON?, IF SO, WHEN IS IT?

It is true that there are more cases of lice infestation during the school period, but this is not due precisely to the weather, but to contact exposure. There are lice throughout the year.

CAN PETS GET HEAD LICE?

No, they only affect humans.

they are not candidates for lice if there is no hair, the lice will have nothing to attach.
